History museums connect the people, thoughts and events of yesterday with the active memories and concerns of people today.
Come visit the Marquette County History Museum and discover how the land, industries and people shaped the unique community and culture of the region.
Admission
$3.00 for adults
$1.00 for students over 12, including college students with ID
Free for children 12 and under
Admission is free for members and visiting school groups.
Group rates are available.
Hours
10:00 to 5:00 - Monday through Friday
10:00 to 9:00 - Third Thursday, (January-May)
11:00 to 4:00 - Saturday (June, July, and August only)
The Museum will be closed September to November of 2010 as we move to the new facility on Spring Street. Hours and admission rates will change when we reopen. Please check back.
The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Presidents' Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Year's Day. The museum is also closed on snow days when the Marquette Area Public Schools are closed.

Parking
There are parking spaces in front of the building on Front Street, and also in the parking ramp on Bluff Street. There are also parking spaces on Ridge Street.
Accessibility
Our current facility is not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The new facility we are renovating (opening in 2010) will be ADA compliant.
